1 Unit. 3-3/4" (9.5 cm) w/ Instructions
Things you’ll need:
• Steam and towel
• Cotton balls or cotton pads
• Rubbing alcohol
• Antiseptic
1) Soften your skin. It is recommended that you take a long hot shower before extraction. Then cover your face with a hot towel or apply heat or steam to your face. (About 5 to 10 minutes). This will help soften your skin and open up your pores making it easier to clean. You may follow up with a cleanser to remove contaminants and dead skin cells. Preferably use a skin cleanser with benzoyl peroxide. Benzoyl peroxide is an anti-bacterial.
2) Sterilize the extractor. Acne is caused by bacteria. Take a clean cotton ball or cotton pad, soak it in rubbing alcohol and wash the extractor tool for 30 seconds. DO NOT PROCEED WITHOUT STERILIZATION.
3) Place one of the extractor loops over the blackhead area. The tool has two different sized loops on it, so use the loop that is closest to the size of the blackhead. If the loop is too large there won't be enough force to pop the infected site. Apply pressure in a downward motion. Gently press the extractor tool in close to your skin and downwards towards your chin. This motion should help release the content from the pore.
4) Clean the area with an antiseptic. After you've removed the blackhead, take a cotton ball or cotton pad and clean the small area with a skin cleaner to clean out any more bacteria from your pore.
NEVER try to remove any pimple that does not have a head on it. You could create an infection. Consult a skin care professional if your pimples are the cystic type or if it is hot to the touch.
