Eyebright (Euphrasia officinalis)
Eyebright been used in ophthalmic (eye) solutions for centuries all over the world . Eyebright was and continues to be used primarily as a poultice, compress or eye rinse for the topical treatment of eye inflammations, including blepharitis, conjunctivitis, and sty’s. A compress made from eyebright can give rapid relief from redness, swelling, eye fatigue and visual disturbances in acute and eye infections. Eye bright was used as early as the time of Theophrastus (Greek philosopher and biologist, student of Plato and Aristotle – (Circa AD 64), who prescribed infusions of eyebright for the treatment of eye infections.

Comfrey Leaf Extract (symphytum officinale)
Comfrey contains allantoin and mucilage which helps reduce the swelling caused by bruising and binds tissues together helping to repair the skin when chapped or cracked. It is also very effective at the end of the healing stage of cuts and grazes to help prevent scarring. Comfrey is an excellent wound-healer.

Grapeseed Extract (vitis vinifera)
When applied topically, grapeseed extract acts as an alpha-hydroxy acid, and is used in many cosmetic lotions and creams designed to improve skin tone and diminish fine wrinkles. Grapeseed Extract is made from the grape seeds contained after the juice has been expressed from grapes in wine making. It works well as a lubricant and is helpful in rejuvenating and regenerating the skin. Grapeseed oil is very high in antioxidants and contains high amounts of vitamin E, vitamin C, Beta-Carotene, and vitamin D, as well as containing a high content of linoleic acid, a fatty acid essential for cell membrane function and the skin.

Witch Hazel Extract (hamamelis virginiana)
This ingredient is known for its astringent properties. Witch Hazel extract is also toning, anti-inflammatory, and regulating. Derived from the leaves and the bark of the tree and known as Hamamelis, it has a vasoconstrictor effect that is excellent for inflamed irritated or acneic skin conditions. Research has shown that It is also used in ointments for the treatment of sunburns, bruises, and insect bites.

Chamomile Flower Extract (chamomilla recutita matricaria)
Chamomile Extract has many beneficial properties including being anti-inflammatory, soothing, decongesting, antiseptic, and toning. It is anti-itching and bactericidal with an ability to neutralize skin irritations. Excellent in the treatment of inflamed, itchy, or irritated skin conditions.

Aloe Vera (aloe barbadensis leaf juice)
Known for its anti-inflammatory and antibiotic properties. Aloe Vera is made up of the most precious substances of our skin – enzymes, vitamins, proteins, and minerals that support all skin functions and activate the skin’s self-healing power. Aloe Vera helps maintain the skin’s moisture balance and stimulates blood circulation. It has been used to calm and soothe burns and irritations. It also moisturizes.

Disodium Cocoamphodipropionate
A gentle, non-irritating cleansing agent for the eye area, disodium cocoamphodipropionate, cleans the skin by helping water to mix with oil and dirt so that eye makeup and build up can be rinsed away. This substance is derived from fatty acids from coconut oil.

Polysorbate 20
Polysorbate 20 is a non-irritating surfactant that is used to disperse and emulsify. Made from oleic acid (olive oil source) connected to a sugar (sorbitol) this compound is then processed to make it water dispersible for use in cosmetics.
